Get Started

Start using ConfigSentry yourself

Most teams can begin with a manual upload in minutes. Collector-based monitoring is for teams that want repeatable, lower-touch review over time.

A simple path

What getting started looks like

You do not need to speak to sales or wait for onboarding to begin. Start with manual upload first, then add collector-based workflows only if you want repeatable lower-touch review over time.

01

Create your free account

Sign up and access the application immediately.

No manual approval process required

02

Use your sign-up audit credits

Run real audits first so you can understand the workflow before buying paid credits or a license.

These sign-up credits are always included for new users.

03

Choose how you want to continue

Buy additional audit credits for one-off review, or buy a license if you want scheduled reviews, collector-based retrieval, or continuous monitoring.

Time to first value

What rollout effort normally looks like

Manual upload starts fastest

Most teams can begin with a manual upload in minutes. No network changes are needed when you already have a FortiGate configuration export.

Collector-based review needs setup

Collector-based retrieval requires collector installation, appropriate read-only access, and whatever internal approval your environment requires.

Continuous monitoring is the lower-touch path over time

Use continuous monitoring when you want repeatable review without relying on manual exports for every audit cycle.

Security model summary

What security reviewers usually want to know first

Raw config handling

Raw FortiGate configurations are processed in memory for the audit run and removed from memory after processing. They are not retained by the platform as stored raw files or database records in the normal workflow.

Findings, reports, and audit history

Config-derived findings, scores, report metadata, and audit history records may still be retained so teams can review results later, compare posture over time, or delete them through the account workflow.

Access, deletion, and MFA

Audit results are intended for authorised account members. Multi-factor authentication helps protect access to audit results and config-derived findings, and deletion removes data from the main platform workflow even though operational backups may retain copies temporarily.

Collector locality and transport

Locally entered collector secrets are intended to remain on the collector host. Public website and collector download/upload endpoints are provided over HTTPS, while exported report encryption is a separate report-package control.

Common starting paths

Choose the route that matches your situation

I want to try a real audit first

Create an account and use your included sign-up credits to run point-in-time audits on real FortiGate configuration data.

I only need occasional reviews

Stay with the audit-credit model and buy more credits whenever you need additional one-off audits.

I need ongoing visibility

Move into licensing when you want scheduled audits, recurring retrieval, and continuous monitoring capability.

I want to understand the product first

Review the product overview if you want to understand the scope, approach, and audit model before signing up.

I need to choose the right workflow

Use the audit models page to compare manual upload, collector-based retrieval, and continuous monitoring before you create a longer-term process.

I want to compare the commercial options

Use the pricing page to compare one-off credits with licensing before you decide how to continue.

What the trial includes

A practical way to evaluate the platform

Every new user account includes 2 free audit credits on sign up so you can run an initial FortiGate firewall audit straight away.

During the current free trial period, additional zero-cost trial credits and trial licenses are also available.

The free trial offer ends on 30 September 2026.

Before you begin

Know what you are trying to achieve

The product works best when you already know whether you are validating a point-in-time configuration, using collector-based retrieval, or aiming for longer-term visibility.

If you are still comparing options, review pricing and the product overview first, then create an account when you are ready to test it properly.

ConfigSentry is designed to reduce manual config review effort and help teams prioritise the findings most worth fixing first.
